Guitar Spotlight

An experimental photograph I took back in 2006, this one. I had a small blue LED torch I was using to “paint with light” in low light. I tried various things such as outlining a laptop and this guitar. In the end, the best photo I got was this one, where the torch was briefly pointed at the guitar to just about show the instrument in the darkness. There’s a lot of playing around with contrast and brightness in post processing here to get the finished product. It’s something I think I would like to try again sometime, with the benefit of 8 more years experience to hopefully remove some of the more obvious flaws (such as the wiggly lines at the top left).
